Im Swansea Till I Die!
Swansea City FC is a Welsh football team, currently playing in the Football League. Nicknamed “The Swans” or “The Jacks”, SCFC ‘s ground was at the Vetch Field in Swansea city centre until 2005. In the summer of 2005, Swansea City moved to a new 20,532 all seater ground, the Liberty Stadium, in Morfa
The early 1980s were Swansea’s halcyon years, under the guidance of then player-Manager, John Toshack, the Swans gained promotion to the old First Division in 1981, winning 3 consecutive Welsh Cups and appearing in the UEFA Cup Winners Cup as well. However, as fast as Swansea rose up the Football League, a decline ensued just as quickly.

My old homes
The first place I lived at was a 2 bed flat in Penlan. It was good there until some kids burnt our car! It started to get worse after that, so we desided it was time to move. We left in 1992 after 7 years.
After Penlan, we moved to a 2 bedroom house still in the Penlan area. It was great there to begin with, all my friends lived around there and it also had great views out to the docks. We were happy there, except my mum didn’t like it there. I think she was kind of relived when the gangs started to appear. They ended up:
- Smashing the windows to our house
- Setting our car on fire
- Shooting our dog with a pellet gun
so we moved from there in 1998.
The third place we lived in, was my uncle’s home. We rented it from him, and it was in the Gendros area. The house was a dump and needed a lot of work done to it. Me and my step-father hated it there, but we put up with it for my mum’s sake. She used to live there when she was a kid, and the family all live around the area. But in 2006 I was on my own and the house was falling apart.
In 2007 I put my name down on the list for a council flat, I didn’t even care where the flat was just wanted to leave. In 2008 I moved to my new flat.
My ideal place to live
If I could live anywhere in the world, I think the place I would like to live would be Japan.
Japan
I think it would be kind of cool to live in Japan and to see how they go about their lives, and to learn about their diffrent cultures and religious beliefs.
Of course it would be difficult living out there, not being able understanding the language, and spending weeks or even months learning the language just for me to figure out how to ask where the toilet is. LOL
But the main reason I want to live (or travel) in Japan is because I always wanted to be a game designer and well, they are more advanced in the technology department than us. Just look at what they can do so far!
There is one thing I would have to get my head around first and that is the food,
like this sesame-sauce-coated grasshopper.

Dogs at the Rescue Centre where I used to live
The dogs at the rescue centre came from a variety of backgrounds. Some were street dogs from the capital or other towns. Others were abandoned pets. Most were mongrels, but there were some pedigrees as well, such as Julie – Australian Blue Heeler and Annie – American Cocker Spaniel (see photo below). Nearly all had been mistreated by, and had a fear of humans. It took a lot of patience, love and hard work, but it was possible to rehabilitate some dogs, some of which were adopted by suitable people.
There were over 100 dogs at the centre when I lived/worked there and it would be impossible to list them all here. All the current residents at the centre can be viewed at:
http://www.animalaware.org/en/adopt01.htm
I got attached to most of the dogs at the rescue centre but here are a few of my absolute favourites:
Below: Me & MiMi (see Note 1, below) Below: Me & Julie
Above: Julie & Annie (see Note 2, below)
Note 1: Unfortunately MiMi (sister of DoDo) was born with distemper, which is a life threatening and incurable disease. We tried very hard to give her a good quality of life but after several weeks of intensive care it became clear that she was suffering and in pain most of the time. The sad decision was eventually taken to put her to sleep.
Note 2: Julie and Annie were lovely dogs and were totally inseparable. Sadly, Annie no longer appears on the web site. She could have been adopted, but as they were so inseparable and it was the policy not to split up dogs who had got attached to each other, this is unlikely.

Guatemala is mostly a mountainous country with many volcanoes. The country also lies on several “fault lines” and suffers regular earthquakes.

My Moving Day!
Last Monday, 07/04/2008 was my moving day and it was a BLOODY nightmare. And the bastards charged me £130 for the move, it was only down the road. By the time we got to the flat they damaged my sofas and nothing was put in the right place. Apart from that I had no electricity, no gas and no food. So Monday night came around and I spent the night sleeping on the floor of my old place. There was:
- No heat
- No electricity
- No nothing.
Tuesday afternoon, finally got my electricity on in the new place so thats something I guess.
